.NET Gadgeteer Core for NETMF 4.2

Hi everybody,

I'm currently trying to build a Gadgeteer Core for a new mainboard using .NET Gadgeteer Mainboard Builder Template.

My mainboard is built on NETMF 4.2. As far as I know the template still has NETMF 4.1. I tried to replace the "4.1" in the template ("MFVersion=" in GagdgeteerHardware.xml, "[INSTALLDIR]NETMF" in msm.wxs, etc.). But it's not enough to get the things work with 4.2 since the assemblies linked are still 4.1.

I'm wondering when the Gadgeteer Core Template for NETMF 4.2 will be released and if there's a way to update the template by myself.

Support for NETMF 4.2 released with beta release 2.42.550

Hi Corentin,

We're working on updating GadgeteerCore to NETMF 4.2. The major work is ensuring compatibility among the various assemblies once they're built against NETMF 4.2. The sources for NETMF, GadgeteerCore and various module drivers are available here so you could take a stab at this yourself. Or, if this is not a pressing issue time-wise, we plan to publish the official update soon (we'll have a more detailed schedule estimate after the team is back from the holidays).
