Can't create project from templates

description

When trying to create a project from the .NET Gadgeteer Builder Templates, I get an error stating that "The project file "C:\users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\grow0usuxs.vqi\Temp\GadgeteerApp1.csproj' cannot be opened. The project type is not supported by this installation."

Is there another way to create a Gadgeteer application?

Thanks, Ronald.

This usually happens when NETMF is not installed, or if NETMF is installed before Visual C# 2010 Express. Please reinstall NETMF v4.1 from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8515.

However, I'm slightly confused by your post - which says that you are creating a project from .NET Gadgeteer Builder Templates. The .NET Gadgeteer Application template is in the GadgeteerCore installer, not the GadgeteerBuilderTemplates installer. If you are using GadgeteerBuilderTemplates, make sure GadgeteerCore is installed first. I think the BuilderTemplates installer won't let you install without Core being installed though, so maybe that's just a typo in your post.

Hope this helps
James

Hi James,

you were right, the template was from Core.
Installing NETMF v4.1 fixed it.

Thanks, Ronald.
